Monday 24 November
Me and Nettie walked into our form room this morning to the sound of clapping.
"It's two of the heroes!" One of the Adams shouted. His friend Ross came over to us and pointed to the back of the room. "We got a surprise for you over there."
We followed him to the back. There was a single table on it's own, in the middle of the room. It had four chairs. On the table was a plaque, reading (in gold letters) "THIS TABLE IS RESERVED FOR HEROES ONLY!" Cellotaped to the back of each chair, were signs reading, (again in gold letters) "LENNY MASS!" "NETTIE SCOOT!" "JOHNNY REATER!" "WENDY REATER!"
"The chairs are magicked so only you four can sit there," Ross explained. "Look, I'll demonstrate." He sat on one of the chairs. A deep voice making me jump shouted: "ROSS BARR!" And Ross leapt off the chair like he had just sat on a pin.
"Slight electric shock," he grinned.
The twins came in two minutes later, and were both pleasantly surprised to find the table. They both laughed as Ross sat on the chair, and was again promptly thrown off.
Everyone clapped and cheered as the four of us sat.
"WHAT IS THAT APPALLING RACKET?!" Mrs Burns had entered the room, and was now glaring at all of us.
"Miss, we've done a heroes table for these four," Kim explained.
"Because they saved the school from the two wizards," her friend Laura finished.
"What two wizards? If this is a game you're playing..."
"But it's not a game..." Laura started.
"Silence! I don't want to hear another word! Sit down, all of you!"
Mrs Burns put the register on the desk, sat down, and called out the first name: "KAYLEIGH ABBLE!"
"Present!"
But Mrs Burns didn't call out the second name. She suddenly slumped forward with her head on her desk.
Gemma, in the front desk, shook our form teacher.
"I can't get her to wake up!" She called out. "I'm going to get the Branhals."
Gemma returned five minutes later with Mrs Branhal. When she saw Mrs Burns, she shook her.
"She's been placed under a Sleeping Spell," she explained. "If this is a prank someone's playing, I want you to own up now."
When no-one did, Mrs Branhal took our register, and sent us to our first lesson. She quarantined our form room until Mrs Burns woke up.
In Maths, Mrs East fainted. One minute, she was vanishing ten pine cones and asking what percentage had disappeared, the next, she'd hit the floor. When Mrs East came round, Mrs Branhal told the nurse to take her home for a rest.
Mrs Branhal took over Maths until it was time for History.
Mr Fooster droning on about The Peseant Wizard Revolt, when he suddenly fell asleep, like Mrs Burns had.
At lunchtime, Mrs Branhal called an assembly. Mr Branhal had fainted in their office, and she was taking him home to look after him. We were all being sent home early, as by that time, most of the teachers in the school had either fallen asleep or fainted. Although it's normal tomorrow, as Mrs Branhal announced substitute teachers would be sorted.
Goodnight,
Lenny

well, it would need to be a rewrting of history from the wizards perspective. They'd be hidden (from the muggles) like station 13 and threequarters, but they'd exist and influence events.
