'I’m a

thieving

lying

betraying

conniving

dirty

fucking

drug addict.

 

I’ll take my heart

rip it apart

wont care that

without it

I'll be reduced

to shards

and the shit

of a stinking

human being

that you should

not be seen

to have touched

or loved.

 

I am scum

I am rum

I am crack pipe

I am coke.

 

I am weed

I am speed

I am heroin

I’m a joke.

 

And I am broke.

And I am broken.

 

Don’t glance at me

Don’t smile at me

Don’t speak to me

Don’t acknowledge me.

 

Because

I may take

you

way

down

too.

 

You can

punish me

vanish me

rubbish me

embellish me.

 

Kick me

in the face

where once

you used to

cherish me.

 

I'm your banker

I'm your baker

I'm your teacher

I am undertaker.

 

I am your daughter

I'm your son

I'm the lost child

on the run.

 

I'm everywhere

if you care to look.

 

And to think I was

once just a bloke.

 

Who now is broken

Who is now broke.

 

All because

I’m a

thieving

lying

betraying

conniving

dirty

fucking

drug addict.

 

And I need

your help

please.

'I was once just a bloke', and a little boy too, born healthy. It's all so sad and this piece hammers it home for sure.

yes. I wonder how that would work if you replaced drug addict with Tory. I'm a thievin lying betrayin conniving fuckin Tory. Makes sense to me.

Erm. I don't think 'Tory' works for me.  It has nothing to do with the poem at all. I am a recovering cocaine and crack addict, the poem is about that, not party politics.
