.6 life in pastels

A minimalistic caricature of your living room
in pastel blues, pinks and greens.
The saxophone oozing from the radio hi-fi
dancing to the rhythm of the gentle drums and bouncing bass.
Close your eyes everything turns into pastel,
elegant, simplistic and bright.
Sounds turn into a smooth ambient fusion
Of synth and jazz.
Pastel blues, pinks and greens,
the landscape of a quiet Sunday afternoon.

You use two words in this
You use two words in this that could easily describe the poem itself...elegant and simplistic. I was chilling out just reading through it. Really nice and thoroughly enjoyed.

Amazing!
This piece possesses a very hypnotic and harmonious quality. The lack of a rhyme scheme certainly works in this poem's favour by creating a leisurely and casual atmosphere. The colour scheme associated with the poem entwined with the beautiful imagery administers a predominant sense of wonderful yet vaguely otherworldliness that Sunday evenings seem to possess, as if one really was lost in another realm; it's an absolutely stunning piece! This is certainly an amazing perception of a relaxed, subdued Sunday evening.
