When writing poetry I just think

I don't talk I just write.

I breathe but no sound comes out

Quiet is all I crave

My thoughts they just flow

They are just right for the paper

The words

I don't know where they come from

They just form in my mind

 I don't talk

I dream

I write

And move on.

Putting on to paper, rather than talking, seems to focus the mind to the crux of the thoughts, rather than rambling around an issue when talkingand discussing - the essence of the thoughts, a communication that many can read rather than a discussion with one person. Rhiannon

I never quite thought of it in the way that you have written. When I started writing I only confided in two people and they ask me where my poems came from and that was why I wrote this particular poem, because I did not know.

Since then I have read a lot of poetry and magazine articles which give me inspiration, so, I am aware of where some of my more modern poems come from.
