My Least Favourite Things
By Paul Annon

Posers and wannabes logged on each day,
Uploading selfies so trolls have their say;
Foolhardy millennials following the feed
Of glib twitterati mature types don't heed…
Illegal wars fought in faraway lands;
Jihadis and builders with blood on their hands…
May, Davis, Johnson, the whole Brexit team,
Making sure we live Farage’s wet dream…
Corruption and bullshit, the scandals, the lies,
All in the name of free enterprise…
Thugs in string vests walking staffies on strings –
These are a few of my least favourite things.
When the sun shines, when a child smiles
And life ain't so bad,
I simply remember this god-awful list
And quite soon I'm hop-ping mad!

I like the poem but as I'm sure I'll have that bloody song running through my head all day, I almost wish I hadn't read this!
