Life's Journey

I was born to walk a road

My road is straight ahead

Many forks along the way

And there's so many dead

As onward I will walk alone

My journeys nearly done

I turn around and look behind

To see from whence I've come

I look and in the distance

A young boy walking fast

It's me I see whilst looking back

Thinking of my past

Up to me my past has come

And he has stood his ground

It's straight ahead for you know

You cannot turn around

Our life map has so many turns

As we journey on our way

We pass this way but only once

And then we fade away
