Heels

She wore them daily
without complaint
I'd thought it'll break
her different heels
now I've discovered it's Incased with steel
See through fog through rain
she'll never express what she feels
Still she'll wore them proudly
those heels
Instilled from birth is a woman made out of steel
See we ladies seldom express
just how we feel
It doesn't matter how many layers you'd thought you'd peel
She'll be wearing those painted heels
you'll always be guessing
As to what it is she feels
And see it's never disrespect
It's an innate strong centered will
and you'll realize
the lady is in control still

Nice portrait. The character
Nice portrait. The character comes alive in a poem that feels as if it's about more than it says 'out loud'.
