Another night .... a much less positive sequel

Eighteen hours on I find myself if not regretting, at least reflecting on, my musings of yesterday.
A tempter of fate,
I wrote of pleasant train occupations and looked forward to journeys.
What foolish ramblings of rose-tinted optimism.
Meetings completed earlier than expected,
I arrived at the main station a good couple of hours before I might have.
Rather than wait. I treated myself to a new ticket,
Frustrated, but not surprised, and resigned to the fact, that a replacement was cheaper than an adjustment to the original.
And all for what?
I stand for two hours.
We’re quiet and calm. Why aren't we raging as one about our collective, collaborative discomfort?
Smiling through adversity even though we’ve paid enough (twice in my case and maybe others' too).
It’s always a busy train. But today even more so.
Of course it’s the beginning of the university term.
And, as a regular traveller, I’ve a feeling there’s a carriage less. How ridiculous.
Add this to a mix-up over some seat reservations, the overflowing rubbish bins and no chance of a trip to the buffet.
And the loo (when I can finally get to it) full, not flushing and very, very smelly.

I think this would work
I think this would work better in prose, and perhaps with more detail - your life writing is always interesting Gayle!
