Beside the wet kerb,
chips and doner meat sleep deep.
Friday fades away.
Taxis rear homewards,
the ambulance falls silent.
A dead one maybe.
A kiss for a wish
under the railway bridges.
That enough for her?
The town bells ringing
and a rain ceases to fall.
Starlight, moonlight now.
Saturday is here,
a guilty secret laid bare.
Sunday we’ll forget.

Nice work, but more Senyru than Haiku
The nomenclature, Haiku is often misused

Fair enough, Ralph I don't like rules much either
But his is such a brilliant poem, I just felt it should be given its right name, but then again, Haiku 5 O is a brilliant title.... I guess Senyru 5 O sounds a bit lame
Whatever ... there are so few Haikus and Senyrus on this site, as far as I'm concerned good ones are always welcome.
