Tears from Heaven

Forever and a day
lying awake listening to the falling rain
forever and a day
it's a welcoming blessing I'd say
Forever and a day
looking towards a clouded sky
forever and a day
it's tears from heaven
our land no longer appears dry
Forever and a day
the mountain tops beautiful and wet
forever and a day
we're humbled no longer driven by respect
now we know to turn to God instead
Forever and a day
lying awake listening to the falling rain
forever and a day
it's a welcoming blessing I'd say
everything is possible once you start to pray

The quality of mercy is not
The quality of mercy is not strained. It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven. -Shakespeare.
Parts of the country have a drought lasting two years at least already. The farmers are in dire straits. By us we have had only a few thunder showers this season each only about half an hour. We are desperate especially the Western Cape, Cape Town too- almost no rain for months and months.
"It's a welcoming blessing I'd say" and mercy.

Since then
Since then (yesterday!) we've had good rains and widespread, over most of the country. A lot of people in South-Africa are very happy! We are very much dependent on good quality water. As you say Mary-Ann I think all of us enjoy lying in in the bed listening to the rain on the roof the wind and even the thunder!
