The day we all went to the moon

In a shining, shimmering charabanc, we;
me, my cat and my whole family,
while its catherine wheels whizzed round and round,
whooshed up to the moon with a clattering sound.

And I took my bucket and I took my spade.
A moonsand castle, with them, I made;
mum, a polkadot blanket put down and
then we all had sandwiches upon the sand.

All the tinkling, twinkling magical men
who live on the moon, they came out then
while the humming birds hummed a clockwork tune

In magic ovens they baked moon buns
that made all of us just as light as air
then we floated all about without a care.
