Too many up and down steps

My wine party in.

Past "backbreakers' climb

Red slogans, wet sheets, communes

Student dreampower.

Botanic gardens

Thunder, lightening, rainblast

Loads of tall trees. Help!

We crowd Burger King

I sort soggy belongings

Patatas bravas.

Museum not found

Sunday, can't view cathedral

I'm happy writing.

My adventure trail

Guidebooks, maps, ripped edges glance

Coimbras wonders.

Enjoyed this richly packed account, haiku like fitting a wardrobe of clothes into a brief case. Particularly liked the botanic garden in the storm, and patatas bravas in Burger King

Cheers Di, yes an overstuffed little case of a holiday, that sums it up! Coimbras great, Portugals university town, over 200 years older than anywhere in the Uk. And the student houses at the top of the old town, behind the uni are communes with revo graffiti. saw them last year, maybe squish in a lyric iin the middle of this and something about the steps called 'the backbreakers' Im leaving Lisbon today, but not for the last time...

Cheers eds for the cherries. Loved Lisbon, today was transport snags and a windy Faro. Tomoz quick potter round Faros old town and home.

'Trials and tribulations' yes. I can't face adding a Stanstead airport lyric. Yesterday a woman went away with my suitcase by mistake but she phoned baggage control and came back with it after travelling by train to Harlow. I bought a ribbon today to tie round my handle - should prevent a recurrence Plan to see more of Portugal next Spring.
