Storm
By Rhiannonw
- 2782 reads
Rain ground-pounding
lashing,
lightning flashing,
booming sound
of thunder crashing –
winds howling
gales bashing
rifting, lifting;
water standing
cars splashing
earth soaking
drinking,
water sinking
down to roots
to feed new shoots,
empower life;
while wild turmoils last
beware, take care,
heed warning,
– dangers storming –
shelter from vast
torrential blast
until the fury’s
spent, far past.

Rhythm
Your work never dissapoints and I simply adored the rhythm of this poem. For some reason I was transported back to a famous piece of work 'the night mail' and the rhythm in that. A really inspiring piece of work Rhiannon. Well done...again!
