the abyss
stroking darkness
stretching closer
to a murky bottom--
where treasure troves
await brave ones
in a fullness of awe.
Gold and silver filled

as remnants of plunder
when menacing Capt.
Kidd sailed captive seas

It's amazing how many
It's amazing how many undiscovered treasures lay at the bottom of the ocean, we can only imagine, or the treasures that pirates hid, but they died before the treasure was found.
Loved your poem with its descriptive scene of the abyss with the stroking darkness stretching closer to a murky bottom, wonderful metaphors.

Many happy returns for your
Many happy returns for your birthday Richard and I hope your trip to British Columbia Houson goes well.
I have heard of the on going search for treasure at Oak Island Nova Scotia, but never watched it, I'll have to look out for the new series. Thank you for the recommendation.
You take care and enjoy your holiday.
Jenny.
