An Autumn of Leaves
By Richard L. Provencher
- 2888 reads
create a cradle of colour. From
maple heights and journeys
beyond a curlicue
of shades rides a windy season.
In a whisper of movement
curled up edges drop quickly--
as Fall slow-turns to Winter-white.

this is lovely. If ever I got to choose where in the world I'd like to visit, it would be those maple trees when the leaves turn, I'd love to walk under them. Excellent! Enjoyed! Your poem reminds me of Narnia of the scene with Lucy with the falling leaves in Prince Caspian. A sense of wonder.
