Green Eyes (Edited)

I think of your eyes
and go weak at the knees
because your green orbs
are an enchanting tease.
The colour of emeralds,
they're precious gems
but also the source
from which jealousy stems.
The green-eyed monster
symbolised by this beryl
can break up romance
and put love in peril.
But for me they are like
a green and white ocean
tumultuous at times
yet full of emotion.
To dive into its depth
and be swept by the waves
is what a lover dreams
and secretly craves.

jealousy
Lovely! The second last stanza I like especially but I really like the whole poem. Aquamarine is a greenish-blue it is a gemstone it is the colour of the sea. Green? Eyes? Love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave, according to Solomon.
Keep well Luigi!

I really like this poem Luigi
I really like this poem Luigi, you capture the essence of having green eyes. I particularly liked the last two stanzas which summed up for me how rare and precious green eyes can be.
Thank you for sharing.
