I pay attention with subdued
breath as heartfelt echoes
reach into my
spirit and I arise eagerly.
His callings may be
for a wayward love or friends
missing this time of day
without sun to bring warmth.
The nervous dove cuddles with
an array of sounds
prepared to meet any need
upon urgent demand.

Good. I like this
Good. I like this second version more although it's not at all like the first, it's been almost completely re-written. A bit more joyful though!
