I think there is a man....

I think there is a man (I say man because of the size of the dirty socks I found) sleeping in my shed.
I say my, it's actually shared by the three flats in the block.
There's more evidence, sandwich wrappers, juice cartons. Not all the time, just now and then.
It's a strong, sturdy shed that feels warm whenever I go in it. There's a rug on the floor that used to be in my mum's living room.

What am I doing?
Nothing.
There's no padlock on the door and I'm not going to fit one.
I clear away the evidence and keep it to myself.

What else am I doing?
Nothing.
Well not quite. I talk to the street sleepers in town, give money, sometimes food + fill socks at Christmas with toiletries + chocolates.
On social media, I call out the Conservative government and shout out UK Labour’s vision of a home for everyone.

But.
I think there is a man sleeping in my shed.
What am I doing?
Nothing.
Is nothing enough? #Homelessness
