If I were …

If I were a bird that flies,
I’d fly up high into the sky.
If I were a fish that swims
I’d glide through the sea
and feel so free.
If I were a crocodile,
my mouth would snap
like a toothy trap.
If I were a cow I’d ‘moo’
and munch the grass all day through.
If I were a horse I’d trot,
and gallop and canter about a lot.
If I were a dog I’d bark,
and warn off strangers in the dark.
If I were a cat I’d sleep,
and in the garden hunt and creep,
But, you know what?
I’m really glad to be
a singing, playing happy me!

Great fun poem for the I P
Great fun poem for the I P Rhiannon. I'm sure a lot of very young children would love to hear this read to them.
Put a smile on my face.
Jenny.
