Grass greener than feels natural;
as though sprouted from some
luminescent realm where
contrast makes normality feel
contrastingly bizarre.
Grey skies making colours in
bare tree branches stand out,
they reach across to touch;
each brown shade holding red
shades; holding purples; holding
blues.
Rain is a cloud that hovers
rather than drops that fall;
soaking through the blackening
pavements where footprints are
as temporary as lost words in
sleepless nights.

"Rain is a cloud
"Rain is a cloud that hovers" Excellent work, I would have been very proud this to me is real poetry.
Keep well! Tom Brown and Cheers!

I like this too, it is weird
I like this too, it is weird how colours can seem strong sometimes even when it is cloudy, as if the light is inside things instead of shining on them? I particularly like how you notice the leaves. You brought me with you into the moment
