forever young

Sunday dusk
summer end
oak on high
caught my eye
flying ants
butterflies
buzzing bees
bunk up please
basecamp made
dark inside
mapping routes
hypnotised
summit seen
branches bent
hanging on
nearly went!
'race you' now
t-shirts torn
one more push
lungs all worn
bragging rights
scratched to bits
pulled you up
THIS IS IT
sat there tight
all was still
secret world
please - no more school!
touch the sky
you and me
forever young
climbing trees
