Fields still soggy,
new riverside lakes –
more pasture for swans awhile,
footpaths muddy, boggy,
gushing, rushing streams in ditches,
gusting, blasting wind,
celandines shine,
fragile wood anenomes,
soft primroses,
carpets of ransom leaves (scenting),
daffodils’ golden blaze.

Hi Rhiannon,
I just love the celandines and funnily enough I did think about writing a poem in honour of this beautiful little flower. Your poem goes so well with the photos and gives you a diary of how the weather captures the moments of your walk. I hope there are many more poems of your wanders to come, I do so enjoy reading them.
Jenny.
