Bottle of Woodford

We sit here watching crap television
Like we sat there drinking beer in shit pubs
For all of those years
And I wonder what the fuck I’m doing back here
Then it’s kind of understood
It’s where you start makes you what you are
And it’s what you are that drags you back
There’s something about a bottle of Woodford

These are hefty lines, I felt them.

Much closer to home,Kevin
I live in Flemish Belgium. I've been here for a million years (well it seems like it sometimes) I write poems about the place on here sometimes, but I'm a Brit. I worked here for many years before I retired early (ish) and spent a lot of time in the Canary Islands with friends. Unfortunately due to health (and of course health insurance) issues I had to come back here for treatment. Same issues made it difficult to return to the UK (If I even wanted to) because of the regular check ups I needed. Finished now, but I have little desire to pack up and leave for post Brexit Blightly plus upping sticks at my age seems a bit overwhelming.
Cheers.
(It's always good to read your work even though I do miss a lot of it)
