The Alternative Rainbow.

- For years and even up to today, at work I am surrounded my rainbows and rainbow colours, for everything the Manager puts up, he uses those colours. So, the constant colours of it in my face every day, means it’s now nothing special.I see houses of hand coloured rainbows up in windows, done by children and adults alike, to show support for the NHS, and that is a good thing.I however don’t want to put up a rainbow in my window at home. But it got me thinking, would people still put up a rainbow if it was in the shape of a cross, with the middle coloured in?Now that would be different, to match the unprecedented times we are living in at the moment. I’d put that up, but maybe not in the colours of the rainbow.I’d use alternative colours, maybe just good old black and white.

Originally, the rainbow was
Originally, the rainbow was the sign of God's covenant never again to flood the earth, despite people's rebelliousness, and of his bringing the seasons. (Genesis 8:22, 9:12-17) Rhiannon

Had to think of it a bit
Had to think of it a bit, you know too much of a good thing etc --
To me it sounds fine everything being in rainbow colours, certainly not all just black and white maybe you should give it a try? And really it is hard to remain hopeful and optimistic really you need courage it is actually easier to be black and blue and dark and horrible all the time. In fact it's a question of survival. Now I'll get a hiding.
A rainbow cross? There is something new for you .. . ..
I like your style the prose is fluent it reads comfortably and the stories are not too long (or short!)
Keep well! Tom Brown

One of those things
One of those things you'll always regret Janet, let's call is sociophopia or just plain fear of rejection. Of course aggravated severly by lockdowns. Sometime one needs terrific courage it is true.
Can't you go around there again take a friend?
I enjoy your work! Keep well x! Tom Brown

Perhaps they were not at home
Perhaps they were not at home maybe you should try again? All the same I'm sure it's fine I'm sure they won't mind for you to take a photo of their rainbow cross. You could perhaps just leave a note?
Your husband sounds like a very kind and decent man you're lucky.
All the best! Tom

I've got the same
I've got the same problem. Technophobia. What is twitter? Fasebook? Do you know? Is there a meanual? These hundreds of the newfangled things like apps and viewtube serious I don't know anything about it. A waste of time if you ask me. I do Abc nothing else not even internet or email. Complete peace of mind.
I remember the Walrus. Very noble of you, donating your cherries to the needy.
Maybe time we please dropped the cross idea and moved on.
Regards to your husband! Enjoy the weekend!
