[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
You’ve told us you are,
and always have been,
that you made the earth,
then women and men;
Millennia you're viewing
and sweepingly scan,
you know our departure,
and when we began,
You know how we live,
we know you are pure,
Oh, teach us to grieve,
and may we procure
your mercy and kindness
that we may rejoice
and serve you in wonder
with heart, head and voice.
Tune: 5555 6565 eg Houghton by H Gauntlett

I'm so glad these are hyms
I'm so glad these are hyms and not poems... people of faith should be able to sing them out loud and strong--especially that woman in the front pew who clearly has a lot more fatih than anybody else judging by the decibels. I don't know if it's allowed, but I hope you get these added to your local church's singing list, I can't see God Objecting. Wouldn't it be lovely to see peple you actually know and say good moning to every week, singing your hyms. And to know that--in part-- it's your songs that are giving them strength, hope, love, comfort whatever they take from it that particular service.
Lovely.

modern life
Great how you often bring in modern life in today's language and that the message is still the same, and faith is alive even today and always.
And have a good week Rhiannon! &
