Abstract Train Of Thought

A piece of abstract poetry.
Give way – twist
inquisitive curiosity,
focus trance this
altered matter,
calming streaming
tensions,
free squinting eyes
passing breezes as
they soar on wings;
climbing high,
ascending to cry
pulsating drums,
rhythm of
thundering horses,
then, shrinking
twilight let
wolves assemble,
their howls
gather pace,
rushing...feeling
no guilt,
hear their songs nightly,
while cubs whimper
inside dark holes,
moon's only warmth
peeps in.
Stand boggy marsh
heavily mantled,
beating out
different patterns
while waiting
for rain,
silently singing
its mysteries,
exiled pleasure
and pain,
lost world, some stealth;
impulsive energy fragile,
lying alert – even when
dormant – not like
Southern faraway bayou.
