Breakout!

Tired of lockdown,
hundreds flock down
to the beach
just lust for fun
with anyone
no care
with who they share,
leave all litter
no more 'distance'
no more 'space';
others bitter
over race
discrimination
some want violence
with guilt or innocence
anger tense
hindering patience
accord
concord.
Danger of lockdown –
not just jail, lock-up,
but of reconciliation
friendship
across all differences:
hardening,
divisions locking down, locked in.

Had to read this several times as so admiring of your wordplay was missing the meaning :0) The other night there was a program about co-writer of musical Alexander Hamilton, which reminded me of how you write, it is a rare and wonderfful gift to make word-sound and meaning dance like this

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
I see you had a go at the I P this week. Lockdown seems to be affecting people in different ways. We are all so individual as humans. This is something you sum up perfectly in your poem.
Jenny.
