The room was filled with light
Borrowed from yesterday's memory
Of you.
Here
Where clothes lie; forgotten
Your scent hangs, as if you had slept
Within its walls
You now gather each corner and
Carry me and everything I own
Towards some better place
And there you carve my layers of stone
Because you can, because you want to
You found them inside the silences
The ones I tried to ignore when we met
But you hushed me almost unrecognisable
The way waves turn pebbles to sand
