this breeze, seeming slight
might be calmness dying, a storm’s birth
it could have come from Samarkand
or been in Neanderthal lungs
we all breathe out the future
sharing trees

The mystery of the wind, and
The mystery of the wind, and the air. "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes" We share with the past and the future and nature. Rhiannon

I think the main comparison
I think the main comparison was that we can't see the Spirit at work changing someone, but we can see the effects he has on their lives and hearts, as we don't see the wind, but we see the effects it has on the trees and washing line etc! We can all ask for the Holy Spirit to come to our hearts. Rhiannon

Hello Di,
Hello Di,
I know nothing about Haiku poems, but wondered if this was one?
I like how you question where breezes come from and how we have no idea about the air we breathe.in and out comes and goes.
Of course like you say, it's the one thing we do share with trees.
Thoughtful read.
Jenny.
