The Witness.

A few days ago, I wrote about an accident that I had, a serious fall. Although it was a very serious fall I was not hurt, at all. I’ve had some surreal/bizarre moments in life, unexplained. I told my Daughter yesterday and she had just come home from University and I showed her what happened and where I’d fallen onto the wooden floor. When I finished, she looked at me and said, “That’s impossible!” What does she know, she wasn’t there? Most of the unexplained, bizarre/surreal events happen when I am alone, but not all.

Meghan’s words got me thinking, “That’s impossible,” But there was a witness, to my fall, the witness was Turmeric, our cat, who had run off into the lounge and I had gone after him, tripping over his toy, if he wasn’t so fast on his paws, I would have fallen onto him! Now that sounds pretty dangerous, more dangerous than falling like a dead weight onto a hard floor. OK, so Turmeric’s confession of what he saw, would not stand up in court, as I don’t speak “Cat,” And Turmeric don’t speak English.

Today I worked with Isaac, a lovely lad. I decided to tell him about my fall, I started off by saying, “Meghan didn’t believe me when I told her, so I don’t expect you too either.”

I told him my story and he said, “I believe you,” He said, “When I was 5 years old I heard shouting downstairs, I got out of bed and from the top of the stairs I jumped off and a hand glided me all the way down to bottom an inch high of the stairs, (not touching any of the stairs) I hovered an inch above them all until in seconds I was at the bottom of the high staircase, at the bottom of the stairs my Mum came out of the front room and said to me, ‘What are you doing down here?’” He said, “I absolutely believe you, for it happened to me,” I replied, “WOW, have you ever told anyone that story?” Isaac said, “I’ve only ever told 2 people and now you.”
