I step into sunny day’s
brilliance as it
exposes a need for
the best in sunglasses
and I have them
in my car. Shoppers
are masked with every
creative image
having spent savings
now using plastic-
dashing carts charging
in shopping haste.
Both incidents blend
in parallel moments
spacing rules followed
and I hurry - caution
seeking my own
Christmas purchases.
Note: I wanted to write a meaningful poem about Covid-19, without preaching or fearful moments. It had to be a real expression about natural living in words within the boundaries of safety.

Puts me in mind of those
Puts me in mind of those images of folks crammed into Oxford Street, many Christmas shopping. These are scary times.
