Liquid energy dark and hypnotic

Brewed from the finest beans

Touches the lips with instant gratification

Caffeine pumping through the bloodstream

Aromatic and life affirming

A spiritual experience

Beans in the grinder

Sweet scent of pastry

Hum of conversation

Not eavesdropped upon

But swirling in comforting

Puddles of words

Pinging off each other

Adding to the music

Streaming from the speakers

Laptop at the ready

Input engaged

Fingers fly over alphabet

intuitve keystrokes

The writer

Lifts the cup

Inspiration filled

And sips life

You make me long to go to your coffee shop!  It sounds so cosy and welcoming to all five senses. I  hope you are soon allowed to write there again

Thank you DI- yes there is something about that almost tangible aroma of coffee brewing and that quiet buzz of conversation that helps the writer's muse awaken...for now I walk in, grab a cup and go home but absorb what I can while on line...smiley

How much inspiration can you draw from a cup of coffee! Some people specialise they brew their own they are really connoiseers (spelling?). They believe to be elite. It don't think it is such a big deal myself. Actually tea is better. Ftuit juice best.
