Where Are You Now
By Paul McCann
Where are you now my little son ,
I know , you’ve grown up to become a man ,
I hope you remember me as I was back then
and not now, as I am .
Because in the days when you were still young
we had fun in so many ways
But it seems now those years have just gone
and all of those times are just yesterdays
We made up our own fairy tales
and we flew away in our rocket ships
to a planet where we brought back hot rocks
on those crazy afternoon trips
We swam with sharks on the lounge floor
and we laughed until the day was done.
We played Zelda on the play station
when life was different for everyone
So where are you now my son ,
sure I never see you anymore these days .
Where ever you are I hope you’re ok ,
you’re in my thoughts and prayers always
What ever you do don’t get old like me
and if you do , well don’t get sick,
and if you do well think of me
because the blood in our veins in still thick .
