deer

i used to cross slow growing moss swells
by tree masts, tossing, lichen rigged, see
in the distance dragon wings, folded
into hills. But now, words' jewellery
has gone. Nouns and verbs don't rattle
in my head like sparking beads
and there's no needle need of thought
to thread them, so, I walk through woods
at year's start, mind deer still

Gorgeous, Di. Love moss
Gorgeous, Di. Love moss swelling, lichen rigged and still deer. I think your nouns and verbs are beautifully threaded. :)

A lovely picture of the soggy
A lovely picture of the soggy, saturated, mossy time of year, when noting the pleasure of the landscape, but not needing to talk about it, just enjoy and show. Rhiannon
