Careful what you wish for

Donning the magic slippers granted Ruby one wish, she was told. Anything in the wide world was her's if she did but ask.
She put on the slippers, or at least tried to. In spite of their name, they were not soft, comfy slippers, they were tough leather shoes, hard, unforgiving, and three sizes too small
"Gee, I wish these things fitted me," she said, as she crammed her feet inside.

Terrence wished for the woman of his dreams.
The Genie looked at him, surprised. "Are you sure?"
"Yes," Terrence said. "I'm sure. It's the one thing I'm missing in my life."
"Okay," said the Genie. "It's your wish."
Terrence had, of course, completely forgotten last night's dream about being trapped in a sex dungeon with Maggie Thatcher.

"Gefanicka, weantaiani, gematiti, seio, wheenok, oologi, geruain", the genie said, rising from the lamp Greg had just rubbed.
"I wish I understood what you were saying," said Greg.
"I said; 'for freeing me from this lamp I shall grant you one wish'", said the genie.

"I wish this was a magic lamp that would grant me anything I wished for," said Mary, on picking up an old lamp in her attic.
Unbeknownst to her, it was indeed a magic lamp, and she had wasted her wish in pursuit of something she already had.
A mistake far too many people make.

Very tricky
Very tricky, but you do get another wish however you look at it. Strictly Logic. The story is very clever!
