[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
What good can we do if we follow the right?
Christ said that each one will be salt and a light –
we’ll bring others joy, whether many or few:
the city is glad when men less evil do.
Although often slipping, our love of what’s good
reminds those around us of things that they should
be really enjoying that truly bring gain
for evil deceives, leads to misery, pain.
Tune: 11 11 11 11
When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.
Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed. Proverbs 11:10,11 Jesus said, ‘You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? … You are the light of the world …let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13,14,16

We can go whithout diamonds
We can go whithout diamonds and whithout gold, but what would life be whithout Salt? And how can we see whithout light? How can we understand whithout knowledge?
See you Rhiannon have a great week! & Nolan

HI Rhiannon
HI Rhiannon
My father in law was a lay reader in the Anglican church. I very much remember a sermon he had about the importance of salt throughout the ages, and the importantce of Christ's words on the subject.
