People driving far too fast
To get to a job they hate
Fearful of a bollocking
Should they turn up late
Traffic Jams and full brake slams
Fuelling the rage in the car trap cage
Gesticulating fists and air bakes hiss
Inhaling exhaust fumes feeds the rage
Blue lights flash there’s another crash
Carnage and queues as sirens scream
Life is still but time counts the cash
We’ve lost all sense of what life means

This is why I'm glad I've retired and said goodbye to the rat race.

Wonderful take ont he subject
Wonderful take ont he subject, smliejack. I was anxious to get back to work after a five month shut-down. Now that I'm back these ten months. I'm seriously considering early retirement.
