From dawn ’til …

The country sleeps:
eastern glow
increases slowly,
keeps growing
until the sun pokes its nose
over the horizon,
creeps up, sweeps by
along the arc
across the sky;
at last it sinks
to the fading western glow
‘til
all is dark:
the beginning and ending
of another day.

Just found this incredibly
Just found this incredibly beautiful poem Rhiannon. Sunrise and sunset are such peaceful times of the day, you describe so well.
Lovely read.

Agree with Jenny. Also you
Agree with Jenny. Also you make such a feeling of peace, reassuring, eternal. Your poem reads so slowly, steadily, there is a purity to how you describe unstoppable force of light

peace & clarity
My best moments, in thought, solutions, ideas, serenity, peace and clarity are dawn, dusk , sunrise & sunset, as you have artfully, poetically, written here, in this beautiful poem. Inspirational & visionary as a witness to earths daily and often overlooked wonders. Well done.....
