Does He Love Me Too?

 

Homeless is a word

full of tears

with memories

that

dominate-

 

the way it was

family & friends

and a cat that purred

with

a special shine–

all gone.

 

Another crippled night

survival in mind

made it to

a new day without

delight.

 

Got to move

quick as a horse-trot

and get his

special corner

pencil-selling spot.

And so it goes.

 

In this lonely

night

he heard a voice

outside his cardboard

box:

 

“In answer to your

earlier question

the answer is Yes.”

Hi Richard

   I know what poor Feels like...what hunger can feel like when one's diet is lacking the necessities of nourishment... I know how lonely "one" can be. 
But I can't imagine not having a real roof over my head, and a door. a home, even just for one. Not having that, must be awful.
   I can imagine the question "does He love me too"?

Thank you, Marcia. We must help in some way- perhaps a sleeping bag, a pair of gloves, a blanket, or a     sandwich and a silent prayer.
