I spy upon a
forest with such
delight – especially
during its finest
showing – at
twilight
colours coating their
attire with pluck
and style in a
boast of cloudy sky
diminished blue.
Children turn into
a time for dreaming
as sleepy eyes
complete this day
from toys and treats
with
lots of fun today.

Such a lovely passage you’ve woven of the day dispersing into night within a forested background, and ending with a child's sleepy end of day. Beautiful words and visions in this poem make me remember my long ago, childhood secure, drift offs to slumber land. Thank you for sharing this; it will be one to read again.
