Thankyou Jenny, do you have collared doves? I think they have the most kind gentle eyes I have ever seen. I wanted to keep each day's very short so as less likely to have any lazy lines but couldn't work out how to get that in, is a bit frustrating already and only on D :0)

Are you? That cheers me up, thankyou :0) You're right, it must be horrid being one of the doves released at big events. Wouldn't surprise me if they weren't allowed to eat for ages beforehand, and then cooped up with lots of other frightened birds, only to be let out into blinding light and noise and thousands of people, with nowhere to hide. Don't think anyone would choose to be a symbol for Peace if they knew it would involve that? I wonder if, when I see town pigeons with a splash of white in their grey colouring, if one of their grandparents might have escaped from such an event :0)

'Releasing' any creature makes me wonder what they are being released from. Hopefully the released doves will find peace of their own if not for the whole of mankind, as designed.

I've just returned home from a trip to England so I'm in quarantine land at the moment. On Saturday I'll be free! Perhaps I'll be able to tell you how a dove must feel.

Yes, I saw my new grandson and I also saw my new granddaughter who was born in April but who I had never met before. They are both beautiful children with such pleasant personalities. I was an emotional wreck on the plane flying home but very happy once I'd walked through the door of our house.

The quarantine will be done and dusted by Saturday but I suspect there will be a fair few days in the coming months where I am housebound because of the weather. It is my intention to write lots. I love writing and I love this group. The work of others and the 'great feedback' inspires me. Thank you for being an inspirer ... if such a word exists.
