Trees

Some trees stand like they just
know their roots run through them.
Feel no need to roam.
The world never forgets to come,
it turns because of them.
Distant seasons do all the travel,
the birds the hard yards, some
telling of Savannah song each spring.
And trees wait -
they wait as if waiting is a new beginning
in tailing winds
seed passengers, aiming for the stars
yet settling below,
to be themselves again.

These two, about different
These two, about different ways of seeing time, have given me so much to think about, thankyou! In this one, the idea that time doesn't leave. Love that. This will need lots of reading!

I believe trees are the solution
I believe trees are the solution to climate change and global warming, if we plant enough of them. Millions and millions of trees.
A plant is a factory. In the process of photo-synthesis carbon dioxide, water and sunlight are changed to other carbon based compounds (such as organic foods) and oxygen, thus extracting Co2 gas from the air and replacing with o2. That is where the oxygen in our atmosphere comes from.
Great poem, very lyrical, you can see the love of trees. I do also I can't understand why they keep chopping them down. Seriously.
All the best! Tom Brown
