we the land

we the land
it cannot be owned
cannot be trapped
behind badges and barricades
the right
belongs to all
to celebrate the cycles
of dark and light
we the land
made from
earth and dust
air and tempest
wave and weeping
from smoke
flame and
back again

Pick of the Day
A beautiful and apt poem for the summer solstice. This reminds us both of our connections and what should should be our rights when it comes to the land, and it's our Facebook and Twitter Pick of the Day. Please do share/retweet if you enjoy it too.

Winstanley and Everard's spirit...
...lives on in guerilla and community planting.
Short, sweet and to the point.
