Today is your birthday

time to make a wish or two

because as you know ,

sometimes our wishes do come true .

it can happen so fast

in just the blink of an eye

as time escapes on board a flying fish in the sky .

Wishes are the dreams we capture

if we really try

to find something special there

where paper dragons fly .

Hope is where we place our wishes

underneath the stars

in gardens where the fairies dance

in the midnight hours .

Birthday wishes are  silent thoughts

that drift far away

to a pillar box in the sky

where the angels play .

Chasing after the rainbows end

waiting there for you .

are our hopes and dreams and wishes

waiting to come through .
