What Is Remembered?

What you remember,
big or small,
can never be,
what I remember:
no, not at all.
What we remember
from those days,
it always seems
that we remember,
in diff’rent ways.
What they remember
of you or me,
will always make
what they remember,
a ‘them’ from ‘we’.
What is remembered
- not written out -
can always change
and be remembered
by the loudest shout.

I think most people remember
I think most people remember situations differently. Our minds and memories are programmed that way.
Interesting poem that conjures thoughts.

Yes isn't it so we remember
Yes isn't it so we remember things differently, even facts. I remember everything as quite different to you, even facts and both of us convinced of their own version and as time changes our stories differ more and more, almost like that children's game "telephones". That is one reason written records are to be held. The bluntest pencil remembers better than the sharpest mind.
