Winter gasped me
to its bosom
as butterfly flakes
(more like stars)
from an
overflowing
sky-
the suddenness
of it all
catching me
off guard
shoving Autumn aside
a firmness
for the moment
and making way
for the next
flavour
on the horizon.

What a blessing the circle of the seasons. We don't get complacent, and have to trust and pray and wait, but don't get stuck in the winter. (And all seasons have their beauty and variety!} Rhiannon
