A Poem of Simplicity

April rain means

a storm of spattering

growth and intensity

dripping branches

on a journey

with one direction

-down

like tear-drops

on trembling aspen limbs

leaning at almost a

90 degree angle

joining many droplets

& forming a

puddle adding to

a small pool-

as it is in life

a similar journey

from the energy

of youth

to a collection of

much later

pain & gains

as if the

last steps of

a long ladder

& an interesting future.
