War

There's an ugly side of war
As the mother weeps
It has no age restriction
Nor colour of ones skin
Not even religions are spared
It's a battle
Where no one wins
There's an ugly side of war
As centuries have shown
Where ego's duel
and the hunger for power
A never ending fuel
Where on both sides
The innocent are mostly slain
Where each defender
Becomes the carriers of the same pain
There's an ugly side of war
Where inhumane acts
Will shake you to the core
Where the soldier will be a hero
And yet after centuries
Could become an outcast
Be labeled a criminal
Just to keep the impact
Of the blame
To a minimal
There's an ugly side of war
If one can't find a common ground
Where gunfire
And destruction
Will be a mourners sound
As they visit each grave
Nothing can ever be so profound
There's an ugly side of war....
