seafront

always
people alone
watching the sea
each wave rolling in
a broken heart or dream
eyes set on the water & sky
pink sunrises. orange sunsets
they'll be down there by the shore
trying to match thoughts with feelings
lonely, they sit staring at the sky & the sea
waiting for the kind of answers that never come

I too like the way you've set
I too like the way you've set this poem out. It's strange how we look to the sea for solutions, maybe we expect our questions to be answered on the tide.
A reflective poem indeed.
Jenny.

Wistful and your keen eye for
Wistful and your keen eye for observing those around you very much in evidence, Mark. Really nailing these poems. Paul :)

Definitely nailing the poems,
Definitely nailing the poems, Mark. I love the image of the waves rolling in but never bringing those elusive answers. What very productive train journeys!
