Tarnished gods

Mythological fabrications and fantasies,
multifarious rulers of the cosmos blundering,
dramatic mysteries to amuse,
dreamy and steamy
tales of romance and war,
concocted creation tales and victories,
fickle frolicking,
frightening, fallible,
unreliable, futile
bleak, tongue-in-cheek.
Would you have one to be your muse
to credit in success,
in failure blame, and accuse?

"Mythological fabrications
"Mythological fabrications and fantasies..."
There's a rollicking feel to this sweeping assessment of the muses. Enjoyed, of course. Paul

fantasies
Indeed "mythological fabrications and fantasies," says it all. Wonder if they really believed any of it? Stupid. Although I found the poem a bit complicated.
All the best Rhiannon! Tom

It is so even
It is so even when people read the Bible they read what suits them, what they want to read, the Bible not in the end even the actual authority. We all do it. Sad state of affairs but you cannot read the whole Bible as litteral. It's not practical.
Have a good weekend! Tom
